The objective was to deploy a comprehensive IP-based CCTV solution that could cover all internal and external zones, including entry/exit points and parking areas, while allowing real-time monitoring by on-site security staff.

Challenges

High-Risk Operational Environment: With flammable substances and critical safety zones, the installation needed to be done carefully, especially around fuel storage areas and pump units.
Large Outdoor Areas and Perimeter Zones: Monitoring entry/exit gates, tanker bays, and fuel lines meant cameras had to cover long distances and wide spaces.
Limited Access During Working Hours: Due to the high-safety nature of the site, installations had to be performed under close supervision and within limited time slots.

Solutions

Cameras were installed in control rooms, driveways, fuel loading bays, offices, boundary walls, and vehicle entry/exit points. Placement was finalized based on activity level and visibility needs.
Power over Ethernet (PoE) switches were used to power and connect cameras with minimal wiring, making installation faster and cleaner.
Outdoor bullet cameras were used in areas exposed to heat, dust, and rain, especially around fuel transfer and parking zones.

Results

Reduced Manual Oversight Needed: With camera coverage across the site, staff could now monitor from a single control room instead of relying entirely on physical patrolling.
