MH-CET Examination
State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra • State Entrance Exam •
“The CCTV surveillance deployment monitored exam proceedings and maintained integrity across Maharashtra's centers with 6000 cameras.”

The objective was to install and operate 6000 CCTV cameras to monitor exam proceedings, maintain discipline, prevent malpractice, and provide recorded proof of activities across the centers. The goal was to help maintain the integrity of the exam process while keeping logistical execution smooth and time-bound.

Challenges
- With hundreds of exam centers spread across urban and rural areas of Maharashtra, deploying 6000 cameras within a short preparation window was logistically challenging.
- Different centers had varying infrastructure, such as classroom layouts, available power sources, and internet bandwidth — making standardization difficult.
- Live feed access and local recording were required simultaneously, so systems had to be configured properly to avoid technical failure.

Solutions
- Cameras were installed in key zones such as exam halls, corridors, entry/exit gates, and control rooms. Each was configured to record during the full duration of the exam.
- Cameras were pre-configured before delivery, which allowed for quicker on-site installation and testing. Teams were deployed across regions to cover multiple centers simultaneously.
- Each camera setup included recording on local storage while providing a central team with access to review sample live feeds across districts.
Results
Clear Surveillance Footage Captured: Each center had functional recordings stored locally, providing a complete video record of exam proceedings.
Quick Incident Reporting and Review: Any reported issues could be quickly validated by reviewing the footage, supporting fair decision-making.
