NALSAR University of Law

The primary objective of the CCTV surveillance installation at NALSAR University of Law was to provide a robust security system across the university campus to ensure the safety of students, faculty, staff, and visitors. As a prestigious educational institution, NALSAR needed a reliable system to monitor strategic locations such as administrative buildings, entrances, and boundary walls.

Challenges

Challenges

  • The new system had to integrate smoothly with the existing security infrastructure to avoid disruption and ensure a continuous, unified security approach across the campus.
  • The challenge was to select the most appropriate type of cameras for various areas, considering factors such as lighting conditions, environmental factors, and the need for clear footage.
  • With a limited number of cameras, it was essential to maximize coverage while ensuring that key areas were prioritized for surveillance.
Solutions

Solutions

  • The system included 6 fixed HD IP bullet cameras and 8 MP PTZ IP cameras. This combination of fixed and PTZ cameras provided high-quality footage, with PTZ cameras allowing for flexible monitoring of large areas.
  • Strategic Camera Placement: A total of 14 cameras were installed across key locations of the campus. This included 2 cameras in the library, 2 cameras in the administrative building, 1 camera at the main entrance gate, 1 camera inside the main gate, and 8 cameras along the boundary walls.

Results

With PTZ cameras covering wide areas and fixed cameras focused on critical points, security personnel were able to monitor real-time activities effectively and respond to any incidents promptly.

The strategic placement of cameras ensured that all major areas of the campus, including entrances, the library, administrative offices, and boundary walls, were under continuous surveillance.
