“The digital monitoring and RFID-based attendance system supported school administration and kept parents informed about their children’s daily movements.”

The objective was to create a system that supported school administration, kept parents informed about their children’s daily movements, and helped staff manage attendance and reporting with ease. Brihaspathi Technologies was selected to develop and maintain these integrated solutions.

Challenges

Implementing a digital attendance system that could handle multiple entry and exit points while reflecting real-time data to administrators and parents.
Ensuring accurate communication between the RFID system, the monitoring platform, and the school’s existing database without duplication or delays.
The school’s website needed to remain accessible, updated, and informative for students, parents, and prospective applicants.

Solutions

RFID cards were issued to all students. Scanners were installed at school entry and exit points. Each scan was logged and synced with a centralized system for reporting and alerts.
A custom dashboard was built for administrators and parents. It showed student attendance, entry/exit times, and allowed staff to generate reports easily.
The DPS website was redesigned with a focus on clarity, speed, and usability. Features included event calendars, announcements, downloadable forms, and integration with the monitoring system.

Results

The RFID-based tracking system worked consistently, logging daily student entries and exits without delays.

Parents appreciated real-time updates about their child’s movements, reducing the need for daily follow-ups with school staff.
